MS Dhoni is an idol and inspiration for every young cricket in the country. New Chennai Super Kings player C Hari Nishaanth is no different as he will be playing alongside his idol in the upcoming IPL 2021 season.

After his impressive performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Tamil Nadu, CSK acquired the talented batsman for his base price of Rs. 20 Lakhs in the IPL auction. Nishaanth scored 246 runs at an average of 41.00, with a best of 92* and played an integral role in Tamil Nadu’s trophy-winning campaign.

Now the left-handed batsman is preparing for the upcoming IPL season in Chennai where he met the legendary MS Dhoni for the first time. Nishaanth shared a photo from the CSK preparatory camp in Chennai where MS Dhoni was seen guiding the youngster. The youngster was overjoyed after his interaction with Dhoni and posted a genuine message for him on his official Instagram account.

“Grew up idolising you and watching you win so many games for CSK & India under tremendous pressure. It’s been an honour to share the dressing room with you and pick up every little thing that you share. Dreams do come true!”, C Hari Nishaanth captioned the post.

Meanwhile, this is not the first and certainly not the last time when a young cricketer has been star struck after interacting with MS Dhoni. After a disappointing IPL 2020 season with the bat, Dhoni is keen to lead from the front in IPL 2021 and has already commenced fine-tuning his skills.

The legendary former India cricketer continues to play the IPL with his beloved CSK franchise. Last year CSK for the first time in history failed to qualify for the playoffs which is why they made specific changes in the IPL auction. The 4-time IPL champions will play their first IPL 2021 against Delhi Capitals on April 10 in Mumbai.
