Angkrish Raghuvanshi seems to be making the most of his time in the IPL. On Monday, he was seen learning from the respected Ricky Ponting. Renowned as one of the premier batsmen in cricket history, Ricky Ponting earned acclaim for his impeccable pull shots.
The Australian icon ranks third in international cricket’s all-time highest run-scorers list, trailing only Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara. In addition to his batting prowess, Ponting showcased his leadership abilities by guiding Australia to ODI World Cup triumphs in 2003 and 2007, following his initial victory as a player in 1999.
Concluding his international career in December 2012, Ponting has since forged a successful path in coaching and broadcasting. Presently, he is coaching the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024, demonstrating his continued involvement in the sport.
After DC’s match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Monday, Ponting dedicated some time to elucidate the finer points of executing a pull shot proficiently to the budding Indian cricketer Angkrish Raghuvanshi. A video of this interaction is circulating on social media.
