Team India reached Perth and held their first practice session at the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) ground, as they brace for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The team began preparing for the test series that commences on 22nd November with the first test match at Optus Stadium, which has high expectations in the view of the cricketing fraternity. Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal were both seen taking practice in the nets.

Interestingly, Virat Kohli did not attend the practice. But the rest of the crew was busy honing their skills and adjusting to the Australian environment. Two of the best teams in the world are expected to compete in an exciting match for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The practice sessions would be essential in preparing the players for the upcoming challenges as India looks to restore momentum. Fans will be excited to follow the team’s performance in Australia, and the series will be watched intently.

Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal have been two of the earliest batters to acclimatize as preparations for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth commence. A cricket journalist who writes for Forbes shared a clip of the duo, displaying Jaiswal’s massive hit that sent the red cricket ball out of the nets and into the adjacent road.

The pitch for the first Test match at Optus Stadium is also expected to have similar pace and bounce as the Perth wickets which are famed for their speedy and bouncy nature.

It is very interesting that the first Indian’s landing in Australia, Virat Kohli has not yet been sighted. After having been beaten by New Zealand with a score of 0-3 that pushed them down to the second place in World Test Championship (WTC) rankings, India is trying to bounce back.

The Indian team will begin practising at WACA ground on Tuesday in order to sharpen their skills ahead of the Perth Test. However for security reasons, the area has been placed under lockdown to avoid disturbances to the Indian camp.

India’s WTC destiny will be decided in large part by the series against Australia. The preparation and squad dynamics of India will be extensively monitored as the first Test begins on November 22.
