Rishabh Pant tested COVID positive on July 8
Rishabh Pant joined the Indian squad in Durham last week after recovering from the covid-19 virus and completing the mandatory isolation period. On July 8, he tested positive for the covid-19 virus. He was in isolation at a relative’s house for a period of ten days as prescribed by Public Health England. The wicket-keeper batsman was not available for India’s first warm-up match.
Rishabh’s return to the squad is a major boost as he is India’s key player in the middle order. The five-match Test series starts from August 4, at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
