Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav exhibit strong camaraderie both on and off the field. A particularly amusing instance of this was seen during the ongoing Duleep Trophy match between India A and India B at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, September 7.
This happened when Kuldeep came out to hit in the center at the midpoint of India A’s batting. Pant attempted to obstruct his line of sight and both laughed heartily. It is interesting to note that they are both members of the Indian national team and also play for the same Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Delhi Capitals (DC).

In IPL 2024, Kuldeep Yadav had an even crazier time with Rishabh Pant. The left-handed wrist-spinner made Pant do the DRS review gesture for DC against RR’s Jos Buttler in Jaipur on March 28. The decision went from not out by the on-field umpire to out by the TV umpire.
Kuldeep Yadav and Rishabh Pant have underperformed in the 2024 Duleep Trophy up to this point
In the 2024 Duleep Trophy, so far, Kuldeep Yadav and Rishabh Pant have shown no intent to deliver with ball and bat respectively. Pant, who played his first longer format game after December last year, only managed to score 7 runs off 10 balls before leaving.
Kuldeep on the other hand took only one wicket against India B in a match that has seen him taking the prized wicket of Musheer Khan (181 off 373) who missed out on his well-deserved double century by a whisker.
The second innings gives both of them a chance to make amends ahead of the India-Bangladesh two-match Test series. The opening match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on September 19.
As far as this particular match goes, India B made 321 runs in their first innings courtesy of an appealing innings from Musheer Khan. Alongside him were Navdeep Navdeep Saini and Yashasvi Jaiswal who also contributed with scores of 56 (144) and 30 (59) respectively.
Akash Deep has been the top wicket-taker for India A, claiming four wickets, while Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan each took two. As of the latest update, India A is 208/7, with Tanush Kotian and Akash Deep batting. They are 113 runs behind.
