Tempers flared as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) locked horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Tuesday night at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. In one such turn of events, Riyan Parag was seen having a heated exchange with Harshal Patel at the halfway stage of the game.
Asked to bat first, Rajasthan’s top order faltered and it was on Riyan Parag to step up to the task. The youngster from Assam didn’t disappoint and lived up to his billing. He scored an unbeaten 56 off 31 deliveries to propel Rajasthan Royals to 144 runs.
Parag took 18 runs off Harshal Patel’s last over to end things on a high which didn’t bode well with the RCB cricketer. While Riyan Parag was going back to the dressing room, some words were thrown out at the RR batter. Parag then stopped after hearing something and gave it back to the bowler.
Harshal and Parag were then seen walking toward each other while one of the Royals’ support staff members made sure to pull the former back. The reason for tempers flaring between them is not known but scenes in the middle were not good to see.

Royal Challengers Bangalore falter in the run chase
After a humiliating defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Bangalore franchise were expected to put up a better show. However, it wasn’t the case. Virat Kohli continued his overlong poor run of form, Glenn Maxwell fell early, Faf du Plessis chewed up balls and didn’t last long either, and as has been the case with them.
It was left to their middle order to pull off something special. Nope, Rajasthan weren’t letting them get away again. Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal spun their web. Kuldeep Sen cranked up the pace, managed to get a good bounce off the deck, broke the top-order, and then came back to clean up the tail. With this victory, Rajasthan were back at the top of the points table.
