This was the second game that Rahul Tewatia won on his own for the Royals. He scored an unbeaten 45 to help Rajasthan notch up an enterprising win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He got adequate help from Parag (42*) at the other end. They played Rashid Khan with caution during the end overs and attacked the other bowlers.
Rajasthan Royals, lost four on the trot before notching up a crucial win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, despite this win, the concerns with their top-order remain. Jos Buttler, Steve Smith & Sanju Samson have lost their form from the way they started.
“This was the role given to me and it was clear from a long time. I was batting well for a while and I was confident and was hitting them well when we played practice games. So it’s easy when you know your role.”
The wickets were falling so I just wanted to hold one end up and wait for the boundary balls. I knew if I keep my self-belief and take it deep, I could pull it off” said Tewatia at the post-match presentation.
