Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, was hit on his arm after wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant missed a catch, granting Australian opener Nathan McSweeney a second chance. India and Australia are facing off in a day-night Test at the Adelaide Oval.
On the third ball of the seventh over, Jasprit Bumrah delivered a ball targeting the off-stump, which Nathan McSweeney edged. The ball flew between wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and first slip Rohit Sharma. Pant attempted to dive to his right to make the catch but couldn’t secure it, allowing the ball to slip past Rohit at first slip.
McSweeney made the most of the opportunity, picking up two runs off the missed catch. The camera then focused on Rohit, who appeared to be in discomfort on the ground, clutching his forearm. However, he quickly recovered from the injury scare and got back on his feet, looking ready to continue with the play.
