Watch: Rohit Sharma Hilariously Misinterprets ‘Anban’ In Press Conference

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is known for his epic and hilarious replies, in the press conferences. Recently, Rohit misinterpreted ‘anban’ in a pre-match press conference, which left everyone in splits.

Addressing the media, on the eve of his first against Sri Lanka, Rohit was asked about the target he has set for himself.  The Indian captain replied, that he doesn’t have any personal goals and is focusing on the team goals.

He added that he is quite happy to have played around 40 Tests for India so far despite a lot of injuries. While replying, Rohit Sharma misinterpreted ‘anban’(arguments) for ups and downs.

Kya target set karun main abhi, apne liye. Mera toh target team ke liye set hai. Abhi apne liye toh main utna nahi soch raha hun. Haan 40 matches khela hai, main khush hun 40 match see,” the Indian skipper said.

Aisa nahi hi mujhe kuch regret hai, kaafi saari injuries aur kaafi saare anban therehue hain beeche mein. Ups and downs – mera hindi utna accha nahi – Utaar chadhaav toh kaafi hue hain, aur voh chalta rehta hai jab tak aap cricket kheloge, aapko smooth ride nahi milega,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is leading the Indian team in the ongoing test match against Sri Lanka. This is his first assignment as a skipper in the red-ball format for India. Speaking about his approach as the test captain, Rohit said, that he will try to keep things the same as the limited-overs format.

It’s a completely different ball-game, limited-overs, and Test cricket. My philosophy of captaining will remain the same, I won’t go away from that,” Rohit said.

After winning the toss, India has lost two wickets for 109 runs at Lunch. Skipper Rohit Sharma and his opening partner Mayank Agarwal are back in the hut. Virat Kohli, who is playing his 100th test will resume the batting post-lunch along with Hanuma Vihari.
