Veteran Indian batter Rohit Sharma was spotted at the Kia Oval in London, showing his support for Shubman Gill and the Indian team ahead of Day 3 of the fifth Test against England. In a video shared by ANI, Rohit was seen getting his ticket checked by officials outside the stadium.
The 38-year-old was initially expected to lead India on this tour but announced his retirement a month before the series began. His selection had come under scrutiny following a disappointing outing in Australia, where he scored just 32 runs in three of the five Tests, as India went on to lose the series 3-1.

The Nagpur-born cricketer, currently vacationing in London with his family, concluded his Test career with 4301 runs in 67 matches at an average of 40.57, including 12 centuries. The Kia Oval will hold special significance for him, as it was the venue of his memorable century in 2021 that played a key role in India’s 157-run win.
Rohit Sharma also ended that series as India’s top run-scorer, amassing 368 runs across eight innings at an impressive average of 52.57.
India Make Strong Start To Day 3 At The Oval
India made a strong start to Day 3 at The Oval, building on their 52-run lead with Yashasvi Jaiswal already well set on 51 off 49 balls. Nightwatchman Akash Deep, who came in late on Day 2, continued to frustrate England with his confident strokeplay and has since brought up his maiden half-century.
Jaiswal, meanwhile, is nearing his second century of the series. At the latest update, India had extended their lead to 131 runs. Earlier in the match, England had won the toss on Day 1 and opted to bowl first. India were 204/6 by stumps but lost their remaining wickets quickly the next morning, finishing at 224. England then posted 247 in reply, gaining a slim 23-run advantage.
