It is worth mentioning that, after the first Test that was held in Chennai, which lasted four days, some Team India players, including Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and head coach Gautam Gambhir returned to their respective homes. The home team won the match by a gigantic 280-run difference. As per reports, the players and the coaches will meet at the team hotel in Kanpur within the next 24 to 48 hours.
The focus is on Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul during the 2nd Test against BAN
In the second Test match which will be held against Bangladesh, all the fans will focus their attentions on Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. The three could not perform in the first of the two Tests. They are vital as India takes on New Zealand and Australia in back to back Test series.
In his two innings, Rohit scored poorly with scores of 6 and 5 whereas Kohli was able to score 6 and 17 in his two innings. The latter was similarly unfortunate as he too fell victim to a dubious LBW call in the second innings where he refused to review. Rahil, on the other hand, was not able to score highly although he had gotten nicely settled (16 off 52) in the first inning.
In addition, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant whowere the centurions in the first Test would also be hoping to score again. The all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin and his counterpart Ravindra Jadeja will also be keen to take advantage of the spin friendly surfaces in Kanpur. The two were impressive with both bat and ball in the first Test.
Remarkably, the hosts have kept the same team for the second Test match after a comfortable win over Bangladesh in the first Test match.
