George Munsey executed a reverse slog sweep for a six during the T20 World Cup match between Scotland and England at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Wednesday, June 4. The right-hander showcased his batting prowess, remaining unbeaten with 41 runs off 31 balls, including two sixes and four boundaries.
In the eighth over of Scotland’s innings, Munsey hit a reverse sweep six off Adil Rashid. Rashid delivered a tossed-up ball, which Munsey powerfully reverse slogged over the cover, sending it 84 meters and astonishing the spectators.
This remarkable shot followed his opening partner Michael Jones’s six, which landed on the stadium’s roof. Sharing the video, the ICC captioned the post on Instagram:

Michael Jones and George Munsey helped Scotland set a 109-run target for England, but rain led to the match being called off
A stellar batting performance by Michael Jones and George Munsey enabled Scotland to score 90/0 in their 10 allotted overs against defending champions England, but the T20 World Cup game was ultimately shortened due to rain.
Jones notably remained unbeaten with 45 runs off 30 balls, hitting two sixes and four boundaries. The pair recorded the second-highest partnership for Ireland in a major ICC event, trailing only Richie Berrington and Matthew Cross’s partnership against Papua New Guinea (for the 3rd wicket in 2021).
According to the DLS method, England’s target would have been 109 runs in 10 overs.
