[WATCH] Shakib Al Hasan Chuckles As Abrar Ahmed Hurries Out To Bat To Prevent A Possible Timeout

During the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh that was played in Rawalpindi, quite an amusing thing was witnessed when Abrar Ahmed from the home team was seen running to the crease, as he feared going time-out which made Shakib Al Hassan laugh.

During the Men in Green’s second innings after Mohammad Ali’s dismissal, Abrar batted at No.10. On Day 4 of the ongoing Test, he was witnessed rushing to the set to avoid being timed out and left everyone including Newcomer’s Player Shakib, laughing. He might have lost one of his gloves on his way towards the middle and went back for it before making his way to 22 yards. You can watch the video here:

Notably, it should be remembered that Shakib Al Hasan is known for timing out Angelo Matthews who was a veteran all-rounder from Sri Lanka during the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. As such, Matthews became the first ever international cricketer in the sport’s history to be timed out.

‘Timed out’ is a type of dismissal where when a batter delays more than three minutes from taking up a strike after another batter has been dismissed (loosely through MCC).

Bangladesh is on the verge of making history against Pakistan

Before the ongoing match, Bangladesh missed the opportunity to achieve their first-ever Test win against Pakistan. But they are now on the verge of history by defeating the visiting team in a series.

In their maiden encounter against Pakistan in red-ball cricket, Bangla Tigers demolished Shan Masood and his men by ten wickets. Now they are just a step away from achieving two wins in two matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The final day of the Test match requires them to score 136 runs without losing any wickets, which would mean that Men in Green have been completely defeated in this series. However, for hosts it would be necessary to remove all Bangladeshi batsmen if they wanted to impose equality onto this Test series.
