India is a confident side after registering a comprehensive win against Australia in the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar series played at Perth. The team is now gearing up for a chance to stop Australia’s Pink-ball Test wins in Adelaide. Even without such players like Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, India produced a dominating 295-run victory over the Aussies.

Captain Rohit Sharma is now expected to be back in the team that will surely prove beneficial to India’s prospects. But this is another good news for the Indian team. Star batter Shubman Gill, who was forced out of the first Test due to a thumb injury, is back at practicing in the nets for the Pink-ball Test.

The availability of Gill to bat again is a positive sign for the Indian side and his performance in a warm-up game against the Prime Minister’s XI team will be keenly observed. Rohit and Gill are set to regain their places in the playing eleven and that is why India will be eyeing on one more victory in the series.

India is preparing for the second cricket test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played with the pink ball from December 6 to 10 at Adelaide Oval. In their build-up to the tests, the team will play against the Prime Minister’s XI in a two-day practice match on Saturday (November 30).

That was a good sign for the Indian team, as Shubman Gill was seen practicing in nets, surviving the hostile line and length of Yash Dayal and Akash Deep. Gill, who was out of the first Test due to the thumb injury, appeared to be quite comfortable while taking on the bowlers, which tells a lot about his condition that he is on the right track of recovery.

As per the latest updates available, Gill is likely to be included in the Indian line-up for the match against Australia in Adelaide, as he has given enough indications of his fitness to regain his position in the playing eleven. India registered a 295-run victory in the first Test at Optus Stadium on Monday (November 25) and Gill’s presence will surely strengthen passengers’ preparations for another series triumph.
