India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, finished the match in style with a towering six as the Men in Blue registered a dominant victory over Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2025 clash at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 14. Chasing a modest target of 128, Abhishek Sharma played a quickfire innings, scoring 31 off 13 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes, while Shubman Gill fell cheaply for 10.

Suryakumar Yadav then partnered with Tilak Varma to add 56 runs for the third wicket off 52 deliveries, before Varma was dismissed for a run-a-ball 31. On the fifth delivery of the 16th over, Sufiyan Muqeem bowled a length ball outside off, which Suryakumar Yadav sent flying over deep mid-wicket, bringing the match to a stylish conclusion.

Suryakumar Yadav remained not out on 47 from 37 balls, striking five boundaries and a six, while Shivam Dube added a quick 10* off seven deliveries, helping India register a commanding seven-wicket victory with 25 balls remaining.

India’s Brilliant Bowling Restricts Pakistan To 127

Earlier in the match, Pakistan, after electing to bat first, stumbled early as Saim Ayub was dismissed for a golden duck off Hardik Pandya’s first legal delivery. Jasprit Bumrah then struck in the next over, removing Mohammad Haris for just three runs. Axar Patel followed with two quick wickets, sending Fakhar Zaman (17) and captain Salman Agha (3) back to the pavilion.

The game turned further in the 13th over when Kuldeep Yadav delivered a brilliant double strike, dismissing Hasan Nawaz (5) and Mohammad Nawaz (0) on consecutive balls. Shaheen Afridi attempted to steady the innings in the final overs, finishing unbeaten on 33 off 16 deliveries, including four sixes, as Pakistan ended at 127/9 in their 20 overs.

Kuldeep emerged as India’s star bowler with figures of 3/18 from four overs, while Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah chipped in with two wickets each.
