In preparation for their four-match T20I series that begins on November 8, Team India, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, arrived in Durban, South Africa. VVS Laxman will take over as interim head coach as Gautam Gambhir concentrates on the Test team’s preparations for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
After the team had settled down, they began the tour with a fun and lighthearted quiz. The goal of the interactive session was to foster team spirit and break the ice. Quizzes concerning South Africa, its culture, and other interesting subjects were given to the players.
The quiz set the tone for a fun and laid-back tour. The squad will try to improve their tactics and plan prior to the series opening under Laxman’s direction. An important prelude to India’s next international obligations is the Twenty20 International series against South Africa. With a blend of youthful and seasoned players, the club is keen to make an impact in South African conditions.

Team India engaged in a lighthearted, quiz-style conversation about South Africa’s history and distinctive features to embrace the country’s culture and create a dynamic atmosphere for the tour.
Players Axar Patel and Abhishek Sharma led this playful session in which they quizzed their teammates on a variety of South African facts and team-specific peculiarities. Tilak Verma was challenged by Abhishek, who asked, “Is South Africa the only country with three capitals?” The quiz wrapped up with a playful inquiry: “Does Axar Patel have the loudest laugh in the squad?”
On the field, both teams have strong squads. Gerald Coetzee and Marco Jansen, two quick bowling talents, were recently added to South Africa’s lineup under skipper Aiden Markram.
In contrast, India’s roster, which is captained by Suryakumar Yadav, is well-rounded and includes all-rounders Hardik Pandya, bowling ace Arshdeep Singh, and versatile Axar Patel.
