The 2022 T20 World Cup is heading towards the business end, with the semi-finals starting this week. Team India is all set to take on England in the tournament’s second semi-final on Thursday, November 10 at the Adelaide Oval. Ahead of the mega semi-final, the Rohit Sharma-led team landed in Adelaide on Monday. The fans gave the team a musical welcome.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a video of Team India’s arrival at Adelaide. The players looked in relaxed and composed, after securing a place in the semi-finals; The fans gave the team a musical welcome, as the players got off the team bus. They were also seen chanting for Virat Kohli and young pacer, Arshdeep Singh.

Team India registered a 71 runs win against Zimbabwe at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, to book a place in the semis. They finished off the Super 12 stages, with eight points from five matches, and a Net Run Rate of +1.319. Along with India and England, Pakistan and New Zealand have also qualified for the knockouts.

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma feels that the team will have to quickly adapt to the Adelaide conditions. The Indian team has played at the venue in the Super 12 stage against Bangladesh, whereas, England will be playing there for the first time in this tournament. Rohit expressed that it will be a great contest, with two good sides going at each other.
“The key for us will be to adjust to the conditions as quickly as possible. We have played a game there recently but England will be a good challenge for us. They have been playing some good cricket. Two teams going at each other, it will be a great contest. We do not want to forget what has got us here. We just need to keep sticking to that and understand what each individual needs to do,” said Rohit Sharma.
