His teammates from both Team India and Mumbai Indians often poke fun at him for frequently misplacing important belongings such as his wallet, iPad, and at times even his passport. Even Virat Kohli has joked that Rohit forgets things more than anyone he has ever come across.

One of the most hilarious incidents involving Rohit Sharma came during a toss when he momentarily forgot the decision he had made. A similar moment was witnessed once again in a recent IPL 2026 clash. There have also been occasions when Rohit forgot his passport or appeared puzzled while counting his own luggage.

His teammates have often revealed that the team bus sometimes had to wait because Rohit returned to his hotel room to collect items he had accidentally left behind. Amid the ongoing IPL 2026 season, one of his Mumbai Indians teammates also took a light-hearted dig at Rohit’s well-known forgetful nature during an event.

Tilak Varma Reveals Rohit Sharma’s Habit Of Forgetting His Mobile Phone

Recalling one such incident during the event, Tilak Varma said:

“So, in the morning, Rohit bhai has reached Delhi with his family. So, I’m calling Rohit bhai. He’s not picking up the phone. So, I reached there. And then I said, “I’m calling you,” and he was like, “Oh man, I forgot my phone at home.”

To which Rohit further said, “I agree. I accept that I forget. What is there? Everyone forgets. But the important things, whenever I need them, I remember them. Never forget.”
