[WATCH]- Viral Vaibhav Suryavanshi Clip Prompts Clarification From Harsha Bhogle

With artificial intelligence making it increasingly easy to create convincing deepfake content, a fabricated video featuring Rajasthan Royals youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi sparked widespread discussion on social media following the conclusion of IPL 2026.

The clip falsely showed Suryavanshi describing Virat Kohli as “slow” and “selfish” in response to a supposed question from renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle about whether he aspired to become a “king” like Kohli. However, the video was entirely fake.

As the clip gained traction online, Harsha Bhogle took to social media to address the misinformation. He clarified that he had never asked such a question and that Suryavanshi had never made the remarks attributed to him in the manipulated video.

“There is a fake dubbed clip of me and Vaibhav Suryavanshi doing the rounds on social media. It depicts Vaibhav as being rude and cocky. Neither was that question asked nor was there an answer like that. It is cruel and mischievous, especially towards a young kid who has been very respectful in his few interactions,” Harsha wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Virat Kohli’s Heartwarming Message to Vaibhav Suryavanshi After IPL 2026 Final

In reality, Suryavanshi and Kohli shared a touching moment after the IPL 2026 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans. A video posted by the IPL’s official social media account showed Kohli warmly congratulating the young batter, saying, “Well played, young man.”

Suryavanshi, meanwhile, greeted the RCB star with folded hands, reflecting the immense respect he holds for him. Kohli was also full of admiration for the teenage sensation, who finished IPL 2026 as the tournament’s highest run-scorer with 776 runs.

When Suryavanshi walked up to receive the Orange Cap, Kohli remarked to his former RCB teammate AB de Villiers, “This kid is special, he can bat,” highlighting the youngster’s remarkable talent. Despite the clear respect and admiration shared by Suryavanshi and Kohli, misleading narratives and fabricated claims continue to circulate on social media.
