On Sunday, September 15, Team India star Virat Kohli broke a wall at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium during a practice session for the upcoming Bangladesh Test series. While batting, Kohli hit a powerful shot that struck the wall near a dressing room, creating a large oval-shaped hole.
The host broadcaster Jio Cinema reported this incident during the practice session at the venue.

There will be two Tests between India and Bangladesh in Chennai and Kanpur between September 19 and October 1. In this competition, the home side has won 11 games while two have ended in draws.
In 2022, when Bangladesh hosted India for a test series, they met for the last time. As in that series, India came out as winners with a 2–0 victory. From October 6 to 12, both teams will contest three ODIs after the Tests.
Meanwhile, Kohli was last seen playing in an ODI series that teamed up India against Sri Lanka, where things went wrong completely for him back in August. He had a forgettable performance scoring only 58 runs in three matches at an average of under twenty years old.
The Men in Blue experienced a 0-2 series loss, with the first ODI ending in a tie.
Virat Kohli has an impressive Test record against Bangladesh on home soil
Virat Kohli will be looking forward to his Test return against Bangladesh after he missed the entire home Test series against England earlier this year. The champion batter boasts an excellent record against Bangladesh with an average of 54.62, including two centuries in six Tests.
It appears that Kohli’s numbers at home against Bangladesh are strikingly high given that he has a less-than-fifteen average at their Tests. He has scored 378 in three home Tests against the Tigers at an average of almost 95 with a highest score of 204.
Kohli last played a Test match for India in the two-match series in South Africa that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Notably though, even though it was played on difficult surfaces and conditions; they managed to keep up their averages with very low runs per innings while Kohli himself averaged an impressive 43 including his critical 46 run innings during India’s only victory on these grounds during second test match
Kohli will be eying 9,000 runs in Test matches during the upcoming Bangladeshi series. Kohli is currently on 8,848 runs at an average of 49.15 in 113 games.
