Virat Kohli, the former captain of India, was spotted on Sunday, October 13, leaving for Mumbai at the Bengaluru airport. The final Test match will be played in Mumbai on November 1st, after the second Test begins on October 24 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Notably, on Day 5, the Blackcaps chased down the score of 107 in the fourth innings, causing India to lose the opening Test against New Zealand by eight wickets.

India lost the second Test at home in 2024 as a result, falling behind 0-1 in the series. In a video that went popular on social media after their defeat, Kohli was seen heading to Pune for the second Test. The great batter was shown in the video donning a mask to conceal his face as well as a cap and sunglasses to fully conceal his identity. While he waited patiently to catch the flight, Kohli was also observed waving to an airport employee.

Virat Kohli made 70 odd runs in the second innings:

Returning to the game, Kohli did not have a good first-inning performance as William Orourke removed him for a duck. A bouncer caught the right-handed hitter off guard, causing him to get caught at leg gully. But he made amends in the second inning, hitting a solid 70 (102).

In his innings, the former captain of India produced some stunning strokes as he used his signature cover drive and the inside out against spin at the home field of his IPL (Indian Premier League) team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

He and Sarfaraz Khan engaged in an explosive 136-run partnership for the third wicket. With eight fours and a six throughout his innings, Kohli achieved his 31st Test half century and his first of the year. But regrettably, he was removed on the final ball of the third day, edging Glenn Phillips square to the wicketkeeper Tom Blundell.

Consequently, Kohli was out for 70 and left India on 231/3. India, who are on the verge of losing a home Test series for the first time in over 11 years, will be keen to maintain his form in the second Test.
