India‘s star batsman Virat Kohli arrived in Chennai on Friday, September 13, in advance of the Test series opener against Bangladesh. The game is scheduled to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium starting September 19.
Kohli was present in a three-match ODI series away from home against Sri Lanka which took place last month. After the 50-over matches were completed, he flew to London to spend time with his family members.
As he arrived in Chennai city before the home Test series, the former Indian captain was seen walking outside the Chennai airport with heavy security around him. One of his fan clubs shared on X, a video of Kohli coming out of the airport. You can watch the video here:

Virat Kohli performed poorly with the bat during the three-match ODIs against Sri Lanka, making just 58 runs in three outings at an average of 19.33 runs per game. Sri Lanka bagged this series 2-0.
Talking about red ball cricket, he earlier this year made himself unavailable for a five-match home Test series against England due to personal reasons.

Basit Ali, a former cricketer from Pakistan, has shown his support for Virat Kohli to make a significant score in the upcoming home Tests of Team India. The experienced batsman is predicted to make around two hundred runs within this series either in the one against Bangladesh or the next match against New Zealand.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Basit stated:
“In the Bangladesh and New Zealand series, you will see big centuries from Virat. Not just 110 or 115, you may see a 200-run knock from him.”
For their opening Test match against Bangladesh, India has chosen a formidable team. The captaincy of Rohit Sharma will remain with him; other prominent names who feature in the squad for Chennai Test include Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah.
