Team India star Virat Kohli recently brightened a child’s day by giving him an autograph and taking photos together. Kohli is in Mumbai with the Indian Test team, preparing for the third Test against New Zealand, which begins on November 1 at Wankhede Stadium.
New Zealand has already clinched the three-match series by winning the first two Tests in Bengaluru and Pune. The Indian players, including Kohli, are undergoing intense training in the nets to avoid a whitewash.
On Wednesday, an X (formerly Twitter) user shared a video showcasing Kohli’s kind gesture during his practice session at Wankhede Stadium. In the clip, the famous cricketer is seen signing an autograph and smiling for a picture with his young fan.

“He has managed just two centuries over the last five years” – Aakash Chopra on Virat Kohli’s Test form
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently voiced his concerns about Virat Kohli’s batting performance in Test cricket in recent years. He emphasized the need for Kohli to regain his form, especially with the presence of several aggressive young players in the batting lineup.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra stated:
“Is Virat Kohli’s Test form a concern? He has scored only two centuries in the last five years. It’s always going to be a concern if Virat doesn’t score runs or scores less runs because he is a mighty player and you make your entire game plan around Kohli.”
“This team requires his form and contribution even more because Rohit (Sharma) is at the top and Kohli is in the middle, the rest around them are all kids.”
He further continued:
“All kids play big shots, they play in their own way, my way or the highway. In such a scenario, Virat not only scoring big runs but also batting two to two-and-a-half sessions will be the calming influence. He will drive the game and things can revolve around him. He will want to be the pivot and it will be a problem if he doesn’t become that.”
Virat Kohli has managed just 88 runs in four innings during the current series against New Zealand, with only one half-century to his name. He will be looking to make a significant contribution in the upcoming Test in Mumbai to help his team secure a consolation victory in the series.
