Indian skipper Virat Kohli is a football freak. In between his fitness sessions he loves playing football as and when he gets a chance. His love for football makes him do great trickery with the ball at times during training sessions as well. Now with the Indian team not playing cricket with the suspension of IPL 2021, Kohli has found time for his much-loved game.
Before leaving for the WTC final and the upcoming England tour, Virat Kohli was seen spending some time on the football pitch. He shared a video of him taking free kicks from a certain distance. He captioned his post “Accidental crossbar challenge,”. Kohli was all smiles as the Team India skipper managed to hit the crossbar. Since Kohli knew he was only aiming at the top corner and ended up hitting the crossbar instead, the ace cricketer captioned his post with a twist.

His video became instantly viral on social media with the Twitterverse sharing and commenting on the video. It has spread like wildfire both across Twitter and Instagram. Kohli’s India teammate Kuldeep Yadav and his ISL club FC Goa commented on Instagram as well.
Virat Kohli and Indian football team skipper Sunil Chhetri are great friends. In a recent Instagram live chat between the two, Kohli revealed that he loves Cristiano Ronaldo.
Team India skipper also explained why the Juventus star is in a league of his own. “Let me explain. There are many great athletes and there are people who you look up to (and) there are people who play in a manner that is amazing; but to turn up for big matches that regularly, Cristiano stands out,” Kohli had said.
The Indian team is currently in Mumbai and undergoing their hard-quarantine period before they leave for UK on June 2 for the WTC Final.
