In an exhilarating dead-rubber clash between India and Afghanistan at Bangalore’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the tension reached unprecedented heights with the unfolding of two sensational Super Overs.

Surprisingly, the DJ injected a burst of energy by playing the infectious ‘Eye Moye’ track, prompting Virat Kohli to showcase his playful side with some dance moves, adding a lighthearted touch to the intense T20I battle. The post-Super Over festivities brought forth an unexpected delight, revealing the camaraderie and lighter moments amidst the high-stakes competition, much to the joy of the stadium-bound fans.

The third T20I of the three-match series witnessed a dramatic showdown at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where the Men in Blue engaged in a gripping encounter that necessitated not one, but two Super Overs to determine the victor. As the match persisted in deadlock after the initial innings, Bengaluru’s DJ cheekily played the iconic ‘Moye Moye’ song, currently a favorite in meme culture to mock unfavorable situations for individuals or teams. Virat Kohli, in his trademark style, elevated the humor by dancing to this iconic meme track.

In the first Super Over, Gulbadin Naib and Mohammad Nabi faced the challenge. Although Naib fell to the first ball, Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s boundary and Nabi’s six propelled them to a total of 16. Mirroring the score, India also reached 16, setting the stage for an unprecedented second Super Over. India managed to score 11 runs in the second Super Over, with standout contributions from Rohit Sharma. Ravi Bishnoi’s stellar performance, securing two wickets, sealed India’s victory in this thrilling encounter.

Prior to the Super Over saga, India won the toss and opted to bat first. Despite a challenging start that left them at 22/4, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh orchestrated a remarkable recovery, establishing a record-breaking 190-run partnership – the highest by India in T20Is for any wicket.

Rohit’s extraordinary innings, amassing 121 runs, marked a historic achievement as he became the first player in T20I history to reach five centuries. Despite the formidable Afghan response, driven by half-centuries from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Gulabadin Naib, alongside Mohammad Nabi’s rapid 33-run contribution, the match remained deadlocked even after the dramatic double Super Over, epitomizing the sheer unpredictability and excitement of T20 cricket.
