[WATCH]- Virat Kohli’s Reaction To Hardik Pandya’s Dismissal In IND vs AUS CT 2025 Semifinal Goes Viral

Virat Kohli had a hilarious reaction to Hardik Pandya’s attempt to finish the game with a six during the first Champions Trophy semifinal against Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, March 4. Chasing 265, India struggled early, losing both openers within the powerplay.

However, Kohli and Shreyas Iyer steadied the innings with a crucial partnership. Just as India seemed to be in control, Iyer’s dismissal gave Australia a lifeline. Kohli then partnered with Axar Patel, but the latter lost his wicket after getting set. Kohli followed soon after, scoring 84 off 98 balls.

With the pressure mounting, Hardik Pandya counterattacked, smashing three sixes and a boundary. Needing six runs to win, Hardik attempted to clear Nathan Ellis over long-on but was caught by Glenn Maxwell. The BCCI later shared dressing room footage as India sealed the win with a six from KL Rahul.

Moments after Hardik’s dismissal, Virat Kohli had a priceless reaction, saying:

“Maarne bass chakke hi jaa raha hai who (All he is trying to hit a six).”

The dressing room erupted in celebration as Rahul struck the winning runs. The video showcased the raw emotions of the Indian players, who later shared cordial moments with their Australian counterparts.

“Hardik’s late-game heroics were vital” – Rohit Sharma lauds India all-rounder for crucial innings

A fit Hardik Pandya has repeatedly shown his match-winning ability, though injuries have hampered his progress. After playing a key role in India’s 2024 T20 World Cup win, he once again proved his value in the semifinal against Australia.

India captain Rohit Sharma praised Hardik Pandya for his batting performance during the post-match presentation. Speaking to ‘The Indian Express’, he said:

“Yes, he’s (Virat) done it for us for many years. We were calm during our batting innings. We wanted that big partnership, which Shreyas and Virat provided, along with smaller partnerships between Axar, Virat, KL, and Virat. And then Hardik’s shots at the end were crucial.”
