The opening batter of Team India, Yashasvi Jaiswal, is going to feature in the upcoming edition of the Duldeep Trophy which marks its 17th time round. The left hander has praised the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for his rehearsals for the red ball competition.
On Friday, August 23rd, he announced his official Instagram page by posting a brief clip so that his fans could catch a glimpse of how he trains lately. In it, the young lad was seen engaging himself in some running exercises.

During the previous month, Yashasvi Jaiswal was last spotted playing in the three-match T20I series between India and Sri Lanka where he scored 40, 30, and 10 runs respectively. The southpaw batsman however missed a place in Men in Blue squad for the later ODI series of three matches.
In the opening round of the Duleep Trophy, he will be playing for Team B. Abhimanyu Easwaran will captain this team that has players such as Rishabh Pant, Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Mohammed Siraj.

India is slated to visit Australia later this year for a five-match Test series. The two cricket powerhouses are set to compete against each other in an attempt to grab hold of the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Yashasvi Jaiswal is anticipated to play an immense role amongst other visitors during this series.
Matthew Hayden, an ex-opener for Australia, has indicated that even though he is an admirer of Jaiswal’s play style; he would like to witness the modifications that he would make while playing on pitches characterized by bounce. He comments on how Jaiswal will have a mountain of such Australian fast bowlers to deal with at CEAT Cricket Awards (via ANI):
“I think he’s (Yashasvi Jaiswal) a package…Yes, his strokeplay is superb. His ability, in particular, to hit on the up through the covers is phenomenal. [But] that’ll also have its vulnerabilities. I’m looking forward to seeing how he adjusts on bouncy tracks. We did notice a few times in the IPL that he’s a very hard hitter of the ball – [with the] pull shots in particular.”
“But that’ll be challenged by three world-class speedsters, assuming they’re all fit, and on much bigger grounds as well – grounds where it has to almost be the perfect contact for that ball to sail over for six. You can get caught easily, three-quarters of the way in the fence. So they have little adjustments that world-class players like Jaiswal will make for sure.”
The initial border-Gavaskar Test match is set for Perth city as of November twenty on this year. Australia had lost its last two games at home against them in the same series.
