Jasprit Bumrah powered the Indian team to an emphatic win in the second Test against England at Vishakhapatnam. He took nine wickets in the match and was adjudged the Player of the Match. Overall, he is the leading wicket-taker in the series with 15 wickets at an average of 10.67. Following the second test, a video has gone viral of a young cricketer trying to imitate Jasprit Bumrah. Jasprit Bumrah tops Test bowler rankings
Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah is the new No. 1 ranked bowler in Test cricket. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the latest bowlers rankings on the website on February 7. The pacer has 881 points in the Men’s Test bowling rankings. He has taken 155 wickets in 34 matches at an average of 20.19, with five ten-wicket hauls. South African pacer Kagiso Rabada is second on the list with 851 points, while Ravichandran Ashwin is third with 841.
Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was all praise for Jasprit Bumrah following his performance in the second Test. He said,
“He (Jasprit Bumrah) is a champion player for us. he has been a while. He keeps doing the job for the team. When you win a game like that, you have to look at the overall performance as well. We were good with the bat. You know winning a Test in these conditions is not easy. We wanted our bowlers to step up and they did that.”
