AB De Villiers, the ex-South African cricketer, shared insights on Virat Kohli’s performance in India’s upcoming tour to South Africa. He expressed anticipation for fans to witness Kohli at his best, highlighting the expectation of intense on-field interactions.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, De Villiers couldn’t wait to see Kohli engaging in eye contact and verbal exchanges with opposition players. ABD also cautioned Proteas players, emphasizing the need for caution against India’s formidable squad in the upcoming series.
“We will see the best of Virat. I cannot wait to see the chest out, the eye contact with the opposition, and being a bit verbal with everyone. Because he will be fired up for this series. South Africa will need to be careful. This Indian squad is pure world-class,” De Villiers said.
In the upcoming South Africa tour, Kohli is exclusively part of the Test squad and won’t be participating in the T20I and ODI matches.
The tour kicks off with a three-match T20I series on December 10 at Kingsmead Stadium, followed by the second T20I on December 12 at St George’s Oval. The T20 format concludes on December 14 at the Wanderers Stadium.
The 50-over clashes commence on December 17 at the Wanderers Stadium, with the second and final ODI scheduled for December 19 and December 21, respectively.
