West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo calls time On his International Career

“Champion” Dwyane Bravo has announced his retirement from the international cricket today. Bravo has been one of the finest all-rounders for the side right from his debut in 2004.

Bravo has represented the Windies side in a total of 370 matches across all the formats amassing 6310 runs and adding 337 wickets to his bag. Dwayne Bravo has been vital in their T20 World Cup triumphs in 2012 and 2016 respectively.

In his retirement note, Dwayne Bravo said: “Today I want to confirm to the cricket world that I have officially retired from International Cricket in all formats of the game.” However, the 35-year old said that he will be available for all the global leagues. Bravo presence played a phenomenal role in all the leagues namely IPL, BBL, CPL and several other domestic games.

It is to be noted that senior players aren”t a part of the Windies side for some time now. Gayle, Bravo, Russell and Sunil Narine haven”t represented the side in the recent times. The onus is on youngsters to take the team ahead and break the shackles.
