The 33-year-old conceded 15 runs in his first over but bounced back to claim three wickets for just 16 runs in his next three. Varun now aims to secure a consistent spot in the team after playing only six matches during his last tenure with the Men in Blue.
He had a strong IPL 2024 season, taking 21 wickets in 15 games with an economy rate of 8.04. Additionally, the Karnataka-born player captured 12 wickets in 10 matches for the Dindigul Dragons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).
