Batting first, India stumbled to 45-4 in just eight overs. Axar Patel (27 off 21) and Hardik Pandya (39* off 45) helped them reach 124. On the bowling side, Varun Chakravarthy was outstanding, taking 5-17. However, Tristan Stubbs (47* off 41) and Gerald Coetzee (19* off 9) guided South Africa to a narrow victory.

Pandey and Dhoni’s impressive batting efforts ultimately proved fruitless as the hosts successfully chased down the target in 18.4 overs. Heinrich Klaasen starred with 69 off 30 balls, including three fours and seven sixes, while captain Jean-Paul Duminy played a match-winning knock of 64* off 40 balls.
