Deepak Chahar is now officially in a relationship with Jaya Bharadwaj after he proposed to his girlfriend in the stands of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Jaya works in a corporate company in Delhi. Not much is known about her since she tries to stay away from the spotlight as much as possible, without a lot of social media presence.
She is the younger sister of MTV Splitsvilla Season 2 winner Siddharth Bharadwaj, who is not only a VJ but also a model. The CSK bowler proposed to his girlfriend after the last league match of his team against Punjab Kings.
Deepak walked to the stands immediately after the game concluded, to propose to his girlfriend, who was also present in the stands to watch the match. Chahar put a ring on his girlfriend’s finger and the couple was all smiles as they celebrated their engagement.

Ā The year 2020 was full of weddings in the Indian team’s squad. Yuzvendra Chahal married his girlfriend Dhanashree Verma last year, Jasprit Bumrah married sports anchor Sanjana Ganesan, while Hardik Pandya and model Natasa Stankovic also surprised everybody with their secret wedding last year.
It is likely that Deepak Chahar will also follow the same path and tie knots with his longtime girlfriend.
CSK Lose Momentum Ahead Of The Play-Offs
Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have now lost three games in a row after being the first team to qualify for the playoffs. CSK batted first and scored 134 runs, which Punjab Kings successfully chased down in 13 overs.
Punjab captain KL Rahul played a classy knock of 98 runs off 42 deliveries, including seven fours and eight majestic sixes. Speaking at the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni said:
āYou have to cope (when it comes to mental or skill aspect) up with that. We had played very good cricket to reach the playoff stages. We had a few bad games 2 out of 3 and one we felt like we could have a comeback and thatās part and parcel d in leagues like these, you have to be at your best. Motivation is not a factor, the guys are highly motivated and maybe we need to tune up slightly as to what needs to be done and also a few tosses if they had gone our way. It would have looked worse winning toss and batting on that wicket and I felt the wicket changed a bit, it was a bit challenging but it was a good wicket.ā
