“Why Should Bowlers Have All The Pressure?”- Ravi Bishnoi’s Hilarious Reel Reference After IND vs ENG Cameo

Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi made a lighthearted reference to his Instagram reel that reads, “Why should batters have all the fun?” after contributing with the bat in India’s thrilling two-wicket win over England in the second T20I in Chennai on January 25.

Bishnoi played a key role with an unbeaten nine off five balls, including two crucial boundaries, to help India secure a tense victory. India, chasing 166 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, were struggling at 146-8 after 17 overs.

Tilak Varma (72* off 55) anchored the innings brilliantly, but Bishnoi provided vital support, flicking Brydon Carse for a four through midwicket and edging Liam Livingstone for another boundary past backward point. After the match, while speaking to the host broadcaster, Bishnoi reflected on his cameo.

When asked about his crucial boundaries, he responded with humor:

“Today I posted a reel on Instagram – ‘Why should batters have all the fun?’ When the slip came in, I knew they were trying to dismiss me with leg-spin. I tried to go over covers, but I got a lucky four.”

On a serious note, Bishnoi acknowledged his role was to rotate strike and support Varma without taking unnecessary risks. Praising his senior partner, the 24-year-old leg-spinner remarked:

“One of the best innings in T20s. Wickets were falling, it wasn’t an easy wicket and if you look at their bowling attack, they had all the big names. He’s been doing this for the last 2-3 months. He got two hundred in South Africa; he’s playing well in the domestic arena as well; we knew something big was coming. He’s doing really well now.”

Ravi Bishnoi Delivers an Economical Spell with the Ball

Earlier, Bishnoi bowled four overs without taking a wicket but gave away just 27 runs. India opted to bowl first after winning the toss for the second consecutive game. The Men in Blue restricted England to 165-9 in Chennai, with Axar Patel (2-32) and Varun Chakravarthy (2-38) shining with the ball.

Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, and Abhishek Sharma each picked up a wicket. The third T20I of the five-match series between India and England will be held at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Tuesday, January 28.
