Team India’s Test specialists wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha is regarded as the best wicket-keeper in the world. The Indian team management copped severe criticisms when they dropped Saha in favour of young Rishabh Pant for the two-match series against New Zealand.
Notably, the wicket-keeper from Bengal made a return during the start of the home series against South Africa after a long injury lay-off. In the one year when Wriddhiman Saha was out of action owing to injury, Rishabh Pant had cemented his place in the playing XI with centuries in England and Australia.

But with Saha returning in the scheme of things, Virat Kohli went for the veteran cricketer and also attributed him as the best in the business alongside head coach Ravi Shastri. The 35-year-old lived up to the tag but was surprisingly dropped from the playing XI during the away series against the Kiwis.
However, Wriddhiman Saha who is usually calm and composed was unfazed by the turn of events. Recently, during a chat with IANS, he opened up on his relationship with Rishabh Pant, who has a long road ahead of himself.
“We (me and Rishabh) keep joking around. We train together and we keep talking about the game and otherwise also. He always tries to give his best. There are few things which we have had a chat about,” Saha told IANS in an interview.

Furthermore, Wriddhiman Saha, who is currently managing daddy duties at home amid coronavirus outbreak also revealed that he has advised Rishabh Pant to work on certain aspects. However, Saha categorically mentioned that Pant will take his own and only adapt to those if he feels the need.
“I have told Rishabh a few things which he will try according to his comfort zone. He will try during training. It’s not like he will do it for one day and it will work. So, if he feels those things will work for him, he will try and implement them in his training,” added Saha.
