India’s victory in the T20 World Cup gave the cricketing world an incredible and jubilant occasion on June 29 in Barbados. Captain Rohit Sharma brought some entertainment value to the win celebration by mimicking the famous strut of legendary wrestler Ric Flair, who himself gave his approval.

The World Twenty20 Champions are the Indian cricket team. In an exciting Barbados finale on Saturday, they defeated South Africa to end their ten-year drought of ICC trophies.

Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya bowled tight spells to leave the Proteas 7 runs short of the 177-run chase, with SA needing 31 off 30 deliveries.

India’s trophy drought came to an end in Barbados, where the team also prevailed in a match that was almost lost, creating joyous and passionate emotions. As the trophy was being collected, Indian captain Rohit Sharma gave the victory celebrations a little more flair.

When India captain Rohit Sharma was picking up the T20 World Cup trophy on Saturday, June 29, following his victory in the final, WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling star Ric Flair responded with his trademark stride.

India became the first team in the history of the T20 World Cup to win a trophy while remaining undefeated throughout the competition, thanks to Rohit’s leadership. Rohit celebrated, especially at the prize presentation event.

During his storied career in the ring, the wrestling legend Flair popularized a strut that was employed by the captain of India. Fans quickly pointed out that Rohit was imitating Flair when he went to pick up the trophy, and the ICC confirmed this by releasing a video of the India captain walking with the theme tune from the wrestling great playing in the background.

Now that Flair has addressed this, the legendary wrestler claimed that the captain of India had borrowed a strategy from him.

“@rohitsharma45 Taking A Page Out Of My Playbook! WOOOOO!” said Flair on Instagram.

India defeated South Africa, captained by Aiden Markram, in the decisive T20 World Cup final on June 29 in Barbados, which proved to be a thrilling match that broke their 11-year trophy drought.
