Yoga, the ancient heritage of India is acknowledged by the entire world, thereby holding tremendous prospects for inner exploration.

In this context, the present and future of yogic activities of Kaivalyadhama, one of the oldest and most reputed Yoga institutes in the world, are juxtaposed to limelight. The Institute was started by the revered Swami Kuvalayanandji in 1924 with vision, unique, and expectations, galore.

The vision was to make yoga scientific and spread its message and benefits to as many people in the world as possible. The Scientific research work done so far has been appreciated all over the world.

Well known personalities like Pandit Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi. Dr. Wenger (California university) etc has visited the institute. The anticipation was that more and more people will embrace yoga and avail of its holistic benefits. Today, with 21st June being declared as the International Yoga Day, the vision and expectations of Swami Kuvalyanandji seem to be fulfilled to some extent.

Swamiji was of the opinion that, the ideal propagation of yoga three dimensionally can be best achieved by coordinating yoga with modern science and by bringing it in relation with everyday life

Swamiji states that,

Yoga has complete message for humanity,

“ It has message to the body,

It has a message to the mind

It has a message to the soul.”

Ayurved & yoga both traditional science has nothing but 2 side of one coin who deals  human being With holistic point of view.

Ayurvedic Panchakarma

This panchakarma  involves internal lubrication which is carried out to detach the body by any one or a combination of the following procedures.

1) Vaman (i.e. therapeutic vomiting)

2) Virechan (i.e. therapeutic purgation)

3) Nasya (nasal administration)

4) Basti (enema)

5) Rakthamaleshan (therapeutic bloodsucking by leeches)

According to Modern Science & WHO,

Health is defined as not only absence of disease but also is positive state of complete physical , mental , social & spiritual well being.

According to Indian term & Ayurveda ,Health is known as “Swathya” which is compressed of two term, Swa-Self ,Astha– Establishment

“Prasanna Atmendria Manah  Swasthyaetiabhidhiyate”

A yogi is establishing in his own self and hence he can be considering healthy.

In various definition we find that yoga has been defined the process and state as well.

“Yoga has the power to bring the entire humankind together! It beautifully combines Gyan (knowledge), Karm (work) and Bhakti (devotion).

Yoga is experimental science and it has to be experienced by self and then can be shared with all. Sharing and serving society through this science is further step to spread the message of yoga.
