India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal took to Instagram to post another cryptic quote, this time featuring a saying by Greek philosopher Socrates. The quote was shared on his Instagram story, which read:
”Silence is a profound melody, for those who can hear it above all the noise.’
This isn’t the first time the leg-spinner has shared a cryptic quote on social media. He had previously posted after unfollowing his wife, Dhanashree Verma, on Instagram. Currently, both Chahal and Dhanashree have unfollowed each other on the platform.
Here is the image of the quote posted by the Indian cricketer on his Instagram story:
Chahal and Dhanashree have not commented on the issue publicly. The cricketer has also removed or archived photos with Dhanashree from his profile.
When did Yuzvendra Chahal last represent India in a match?
Yuzvendra Chahal is currently fighting to reclaim his spot in the Indian team. His most recent international appearance for India was against the West Indies (T20I) in Lauderhill in 2023. Although he was included in the 2024 T20 World Cup squad, he did not play a single match as the Men in Blue went on to win the tournament.
Yuzvendra Chahal’s most recent appearance was in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in December 2024. He has played 72 ODIs for India, taking 121 wickets at an average of 27.13 and an economy rate of 5.26. His consistency and skill in limited-overs cricket have made him a valuable asset for the team.
The 34-year-old has also represented India in 80 T20Is, claiming 96 wickets at an average of 25.09, including two five-wicket hauls. With 205 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he has been a reliable performer in the shorter format, gaining recognition for his wicket-taking ability and sharp bowling techniques.
He was bought by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for INR 18 crore at the IPL 2025 auction in November, highlighting his value as a top T20 bowler.
