The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have announced their retentions ahead of the next IPL season. The franchise has backed several youngsters and released experienced players who were below-par during last season. As expected RCB have retained Virat Kohli who continue to lead the side. The franchise now has a spending purse of Rs. 35.2 crores ahead of the IPL mini-auction that will be conducted in February.

Coming back to RCB’s retained players apart from Kohli the franchise has retained their two seasoned performers in Ab de Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal. Both have been proven match-winners for RCB and the franchise will be hoping that they continue to excel in the biggest T20 league in the world. The two big names which were missing in the retention list were Chris Morris and Aaron Finch whom they had acquired for a hefty amount in the last auction. As far the Indian players are concerned the franchise has shown faith in youngster Devdutt Paddikkal and Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar.
