South African captain Faf du Plessis said: It was a very satisfying performance by the team who showed great character after losing the momentum on day 1. The fielding was brilliant. 400 was a good score on this pitch in the first innings. We knew that anything above 250 was going to be tough. Rabada and Ngidi will lead our pace bowling in future.

Man of the match Lungi Ngidi said:  I am very happy with the way result went. There has been good form for me in franchise cricket. It was not a quick pitch and bowled consistent line. We put them under pressure right from the start.
