Legendary Australian leggie, Shane Warne has picked his dream team, the best World T20 XI and posted it on his Twitter handle. Virat Kohli is the only Indian to feature in this list. The batsmen to follow the No.1 batsmen Kohli in T20 Rankings, Aaron Finch (No.2) and Martin Guptill (No.3) did not make a cut.

Four players from West Indies’ victorious World T20 side – Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum will open the batting and the batting sensation will bat at No.3. Inform batsman, David Warner was a big omission from this side.

The southpaw from Australia has been in tremendous form this IPL and finished as the second highest run-getter with 848 runs just below Virat Kohli (973 runs) and led his side, Sunrisers Hyderabad to their maiden IPL title.

Warne’s middle order consisted of de Villiers at No.4, another recent retiree Shane Watson at No. 5 and West Indian duo Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo at No. 6 and 7 respectively. Indian canny off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin could not get a place in the leg-spinner’s team.

Jos Buttler has been chosen as the wicketkeeper-batsman in this team and then the bowler follows. Surprisingly Mitchell Starc has made a cut despite being absent from international cricket for over six months. The other bowlers to feature in this team are Sunil Narine and Mustafizur Rahman.
