While chasing 310, Netherlands lost 2 wickets at the score of 29. Ryan Ten Doeschate and Barresi had a strong partnership of 113 runs. As things were looking for Dutch, Rovman Powell came from the boundary and hit a direct throw to dismiss Barresi for 64 runs in the 24th over. It changed the course of the match as West Indies picked 4 more wickets before the rain arrived. At that moment, Netherlands were 167 for 6 in 28.4 overs and behind the D/L method by 54 runs.
West Indies progressed into the Super Six Stage with 4 wins out of 4 and will carry points from the group stage. Their first match of next round will be against Afghanistan on 15th March, then on against Zimbabwe on 19th March and final match against Scotland on 22nd March. The top two teams reaching the finals will qualify for the World Cup 2019 tournament to be held in England.
