Mahendra Singh Dhoni produced a brilliant stumping to dismiss the dangerous Glenn Maxwell during 2nd One day international played at Eden Garden’s, Kolkata. The incident took place in 23rd over when Glenn Maxwell came out of the crease and Dhoni showed great awareness which left Maxwell in shock.
Maxwell was playing well hitting 2 sixes of Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling. India needed a wicket and Yuzvendra Chahal was brought into the attack to pick wickets. At that time Australia score was 106 for 3. The ball went between the pads and MS Dhoni was again quick with his reflexes. The whole Eden Garden’s crowd went mad. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled well before this spell and it was brilliant an important wicket to dismiss the dangerous Glenn Maxwell. MS Dhoni showed why he is the best wicketkeeper at the present moment in limited overs format.
Virat Kohli needed a wicket at that moment, as Yuzvendra Chahal and Mahendra Singh Dhoni combination provided the breakthrough for India.
Earlier in the day, Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat. Apart from Virat Kohli’s 92 and Rahane 55, the rest of batting order failed to post a total of 252 in 50 overs.
