As per a Twitter report capturing trends in 2017, Kohli saw his follower base increasing by 61 percent to 20.8 million (as of December 5), from 12.9 million in 2016. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has topped the 2017 list of Most followed Indians on Twitter, with 37.5 million followers (increasing base by 52 percent).
The superstar batsman is also the most followed cricketer on Instagram with 17.3 million. It was also estimated that he earns 3.2 crores per Instagram.
Virat Kohli has had a very successful 2017 with the bat. He is the leading run scorer in ODI cricket with 1460 runs from 26 matches at an average of 76.84. He also has 5 triple-digit scores in test cricket (3 double test centuries and 2 centuries) to go with.
