Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has accused the ICC of favoring profits over advancing the sport in the USA. Modi alleges that tickets for the high-profile match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York are being marketed for up to $20,000 (Rs 16,65,138) per seat in the Diamond Club area.

The ICC states that ticket prices for the India-Pakistan match vary from $300 (currently sold out) to $10,000. A recent report from USA Today also suggests that resale prices for these tickets have significantly increased.

India is set to kick off their World Cup journey on June 5 against Ireland in New York, followed by a match against Pakistan at the same venue. Their schedule also includes matches against hosts USA and a final Group A encounter against Canada.
