The Kerala pacer played for Gujarat Lions (2016) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (2017) in the IPL as he impressed the selectors with his performance.

He was picked in the Indian squad for the 2017 T20I series against Sri Lanka at home but did not play a single game. Washington Sundar and Mohammed Siraj were picked ahead of him as he sat on the sidelines. He was still a part of the India A teams, but after a while got dropped even from the ‘A’ team as well.
