England batter Harry Brook lit up the IPL mini-auction in Kochi on Friday, December 23, when they snared an INR 13.5 crore pay cheque from the Sunrises Hyderabad. Rajasthan Royals and Hyderabad had an intense battle before the latter edged out the former on the available purse.

Brooks made his Test debut during the third Test match against South Africa at Kennington Oval, London this year. Despite failing, Brook was backed by England team management and delivered on great batting pitches.

#3 The youngster became popular across T20 leagues after a brilliant run for Northern Superchargers in the first edition of Hundred. He then later signed for Hobart Hurricanes in Big Bash League and then for Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League.

#4 He made his Test debut during the third Test match against South Africa at the Oval. Brooks had an outstanding County Championship with 967 runs from 8 games at an average of 107.44

#5 Brook performed brilliantly in the T20I series against Pakistan where he made an unbeaten 81 off 35 balls sealing his spot during T20 World Cup 2022 played in Australia. He was the leading runs scorer for England with 238 runs and was named the player of the series as England won 4-3.
