England batter Harry Brook lit up the IPL mini-auction in Kochi on Friday, December 23, when they snared an INR 13.5 crore pay cheque from the Sunrises Hyderabad. Rajasthan Royals and Hyderabad had an intense battle before the latter edged out the former on the available purse.
Brooks made his Test debut during the third Test match against South Africa at Kennington Oval, London this year. Despite failing, Brook was backed by England team management and delivered on great batting pitches.

Brook was awarded the player of the series and created a major impact with his explosive batting making life tough for Pakistan bowlers. He just looked a class apart during the T20I series against Pakistan as England won the series 4-3.
