Yuvraj made his ODI debut for India on 3rd October 2000 against Australia. He has played 304 ODI ( 278 innings and scored 8701 runs with the best score of 150, 14 centuries and 50 half centuries.
Yuvraj Singh the experienced all-rounder was the star of the show for India during the 2011 World Cup win. He took 15 wickets from 9 matches (9 innings) and also scored 362 runs from 9 matches (8 innings) despite having some serious health problems.
For his all-round performance, Yuvraj Singh was awarded the man of the series. After the serious problems, he made a comeback into ODI squad during 2013 ODI Series against Australia at home. He made just 19 runs from 4 matches.
Yuvraj Singh was not included in the 2015 World Cup squad and also not made it into the 30 men probable squad for that tournament. In 2017 January, he was selected in India’s ODI squad to face England at home and scored a brilliant 150 off 127 balls.
The left-handed batsman played his last ODI match last year against West Indies at North Sound, Antigua on 30th June 2017.
If Yuvraj Singh wants to be selected in India’s squad, then he needs to play more matches and hopefully play for Men in Blue during the prestigious tournament during 2019 World Cup.
