The right arm off spinner bowler, Ravichandran Ashwin played important roles for team India in ODI cricket. He made his ODI debut on 5th June 2010 against Sri Lanka. Since his debut, Ashwin took so far 150 wickets from 111 matches (109 innings) with an economy of 4.91 runs per over, with figures of 4/25.

Here is why Ravichandran Ashwin’s comeback in the blue jersey looks unlikely

In the 2015 World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand, R Ashwin took 13 wickets from 8 matches ( 8 innings) with an economy of 4.28 runs per over.

He played his last ODI match against West Indies at North Sound, Antigua on 30th June 2017. Since Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal coming to bowl together, R Ashwin has not found a place in ODI squad.

R Ashwin has been doing a decent job in domestic tournaments. With Ravindra Jadeja also in the mix, off-spinner could make the cut into 15 member squad. With Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav performing brilliantly well in ODI format, the chances of R Ashwin coming into the team becomes slim.
