JP Duminy has now been signed by Rajshahi Kings for the upcoming edition of Bangladesh Premier League. He is one among the two out-of-draft signings and the management is yet to announce the second. This has turned out to be a season of signings as a couple of days ago, Shane Watson was roped into Khulna Titans side.
Duminy just retired from the ODI formats after the World Cup 2019 but will continue to represent in T20I”s. However, his World Cup outing wasn”t as fruitful as expected. He wasn”t given enough chances as he failed to capitalize his solidity in the middle. Lack of that stability in the middle order costed a semifinal ticket to the Proteas as they were crashed out even early in the tournament.
Duminy often known for his role as reliable all-rounder has created an impact in several T20 leagues across the World. His addition would boost the middle order of the side and it will be interesting to see if the franchise opts to play with both him and Sammy who were proved match winners for national sides.
The official handles of Rajshahi Kings made this announcement on the social media and fans are all smiling on this signing. The dates and fixtures for this season aren”t out yet and it is expected to be out anytime soon. With a lot of T20 stars announcing their arrival to this league, we are all set for another blistering T20 season in days to come.
